Welcome to Jackson Elementary!
Hello! My name is Katie O’Keefe and I am one of the Special Education teachers at Jackson. This will be my second-year in District 205. Last year, I taught at both Jackson Elementary and Bryan Middle School. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education in May 2018. I was born and raised in Orland Park, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I am the youngest of three siblings and the proud owner of a dog named Buster. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and being outdoors. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
Together, we will discuss, define, and practice the following expectations. All of these expectations are based around Jackson’s school expectations.
1. Follow directions.
2. Be respectful.
3. Be prepared for class.
4. Make wise choices.
5. Be safe.
